About the Connecticut Chapter
NACD-CT Board of Directors and Advisors
The Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors takes a leadership role in enhancing director effectiveness by providing a forum for educational content and peer interaction. Meetings focus on the practical aspects of board service with the latest developments and best practices in corporate governance. The Chapter seeks to reflect diverse perspectives, including new and experienced directors, CEOs, and subject matter experts. The Chapter also seeks to enhance the role of the NACD as the premier organization for boards and directors of U.S. business corporations and non-profits, providing an authoritative voice and vital forum on matters of policy and practice.
Chapter Programs
The NACD-CT program calendar provides a forum for regular interaction among directors, in a structure that also offers opportunities for directors to develop their effectiveness as board members. Our program topics include best practices panels of board members from prominent local companies, "issue programs" that deal with the newest laws, rules and regulations facing corporate boards, and industry specific programs that educate boards in unique environments, such as national security, family businesses, and operational non-profits.
Program Attendance
Our programs benefit from the active participation of Chapter members and other invitees who attend, a group which includes directors and senior executives from many of the most highly respected public and private corporations in Connecticut and the greater tri-state area.
